The mere sight of a decent forecast is enough. Spirits lift. Plans are made. Motorcycles reappear. Cyclists begin dressing like men preparing for a minor Italian competition. Walkers suddenly remember they have legs with feet at the end. The whole place starts edging back toward itself.

This is a thing.

Because when the weather turns, people do too. They come back outdoors. Back onto the roads. Back into the air. And for all the talk of wellness, balance and mindfulness, there is still a lot to be said for the old fashioned miracle of leaving the house and letting the world improve you slightly.
