No Sound Ever Dies has a strange and very Irish kind of delayed arrival to it: a Cork indie rock record with roots in an earlier guitar-band moment, finally landing with the snap and colour intact. The record is melodic, direct and full of the kind of jangling, fuzzy energy that makes independent guitar music feel alive rather than archived. William, Everyone Looks So Fine and Sunflower give the album its immediate charge, while the back half keeps the mood broad enough for repeat listens.
