Pet Shop Boys are on the shelf today with Nonetheless: a 2024 LP where elegant synth-pop, polished rhythm and a dry little shadow all behave as if fuss would be vulgar.

Pet Shop Boys - Nonetheless on LP. Nonetheless is a very Pet Shop Boys word: calm, precise, slightly amused, and wearing better shoes than the rest of the sentence. The first names on the page are Loneliness, Feel, Why Am I Dancing?, so the buyer can recognise the record before anyone starts waving adjectives around. It is filed under Electronic, priced from live Square stock, and treated as a real copy in Listowel rather than an abstract internet object.

It matters because the duo can still make electronic pop that sounds composed rather than nostalgic, with melancholy folded neatly into the rhythm.

This LP copy keeps the album details practical while leaving room for the elegance to do its work.

Elegant synth-pop with dry wit, polished rhythm and a small shadow under the dance floor.

Recommended for: synth-pop; Pet Shop Boys; smart pop.
