Voodoo Lounge is the Rolling Stones returning to the business of being a guitar band after the turbulence of the 1980s and the departure of Bill Wyman. With Darryl Jones entering the touring and recording world around them, the album had to prove that the Stones could sound like themselves without pretending nothing had changed.
