Listowel Desert Island Discs #3: Cora O'Brien

For this week's Listowel Desert Island Discs, we hear from Cora O'Brien of Core Therapy, whose choice is "For the Birds" by The Frames.

Cora said it was extremely hard to choose just one album, because she loves all kinds of music. For her, music has always been one of the purest forms of expression. It connects people, lifts you up, and can meet you exactly where you are. She also feels that song writing, like poetry, is a real gift, and that in this small country of ours we have some of the finest songwriters in the world, creating soulful songs about love, loss and friendship.

She has followed The Frames since they formed in 1990, which is also the year her eldest son was born, making the band feel all the more special to her.
